Our Approach

Through the HarpAt Wall2Wall Music we take starting points – melodies, rhythms, stories, thoughts, ideas, challenges – and through practical participation shape them with others into new pieces.

Not only does this bring new music into the world it helps people to express their own creativity, to safely explore challenges and issues, to find new talents, to learn about music, to have fun and a sense of achievement, and to bring about positive change.

We generally work with groups. So if you are in a school think class size and if you are in the community think of the people you would like to bring together to make the most impact. Remember they don’t have to have any particular musical background or level of skill – just a reason to get together and make music.

What we offer is not a one size fits all approach. We prefer to work with you to develop the most appropriate content. Whether you are planning a creative project in school or in the community or want to empower staff/volunteers through training we can help make it happen. You may also like to get involved in one of our current projects or initiatives.

We draw our inspiration from many different places. Not only have we learned a lot from our connections with Musical Futures and Guildhall/Barbican Creative Learning we are continually picking up new ideas from the world around us.

We also have a strong commitment to passing on our skills and developing this musical practice by training music facilitators and classroom music teachers and offering our expertise as consultants. Explore our Resource Lab to find out more…
